As more tales of phantom mortgages emerge from the MPs’ expenses dossier, there are still a number of politicians who are not ripping off the taxpayer

Judy Mallaber is the Labour MP for Amber Valley, Derbyshire, 150 miles from Westminster.
While many House of Commons colleagues living far closer to London have submitted expenses claims nearly 100 pages long, her list for 2004-05 stretches to just 11 pages.

Miss Mallaber regularly fails to claim for food. Her most extravagant costs appear to be getting her boiler serviced, paying her council tax and claiming for mortgage interest.
